DOWNLOADABLE KNITTING PATTERN (PDF)

The Léon Blue Cardigan is knitted from the top down, using a raglan sleeve construction with a cable running under the arm and continuing down the side of the body.

It is worked in the round with circular needles, allowing for seamless and continuous knitting.

The cuffs and hem are worked in 1×1 rib stitch, giving an elastic and fitted finish. The cast-on is done using the long tail cast-on method, providing a neat and stretchy edge.

SIZES: XS – S – M – L – XL

Finished bust circumference (approximately):
108 – 112 – 116 – 120 – 128 cm

It is recommended to wear it with 15 to 20 cm (6–8″) of positive ease, depending on the desired fit.
Shown in size L with 20 cm (8″) of positive ease.

GAUGE (Tension):

13 sts x 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) in stockinette stitch with 7 mm needles.

YARN:

The cardigan is knitted with one strand of:

• Kid Mohair from La Droguerie
  (XS: 500 m – S: 550 m – M: 600 m – L: 650 m – XL: 700 m)
  or

• Brushed Alpaca Silk from Drops Design, held double
  (approx. 1000–1100–1200–1300–1400 m total)
  or

• Ombelle from Fonty, held double
  (approx. 1000–1100–1200–1300–1400 m total)

MATERIAL:

• 7 mm circular needles

• 6 mm circular needles

• 6 mm and 7 mm double-pointed needles

• 120 cm cable
