The Maguette sleeveless cardigan has the look of a traditional shepherd’s vest. It’s a quick and simple knitting project. Worked top-down, it features wide armholes and is designed to be worn over a blouse or a t-shirt, both in mid-season and winter. It’s an easy-to-wear, versatile piece.

The pattern is very detailed, providing clear instructions to help beginner knitters. A step-by-step video tutorial is included to guide you through the project.

LEVEL: Beginner

SIZES: XS – S – M – L – XL
Finished garment bust circumference: approx. 108 – 112 – 116 – 120 – 128 cm
It is recommended to wear it with 15 to 20 cm of positive ease, depending on the desired fit. The sample shown is size L with 20 cm of positive ease.

GAUGE: 11 sts x 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch using 9 mm needles.

YARN:
The vest is knitted holding two strands together:

• Drops Alpaca Bouclé (Approx. 400 – 400 – 450 – 500 – 550 m)

• Drops Nepal (Approx. 400 – 400 – 450 – 500 – 550 m)

Other yarn substitutes are suggested in the pattern and video tutorial.

MATERIALS:

• 9 mm interchangeable circular needles

• 1 cable (80 or 100 cm)

• 1 cable (60 cm) or scrap yarn (for holding stitches)

• 2 stitch markers

• 1 tapestry needle

• 1 ruler or measuring tape

• 1 small pair of scissors

• 3 buttons (20 mm)
